Spectrum Jazz

We are a Gloucestershire based Jazz Quartet.  Our line up comprises of piano, double bass, drums and vocals.  Our sound is soft, easy listening in the Ella Fitzgerald / Sinatra style. We are flexible, in that I also have another Band providing Latin Style rhythms. We performed recently in the Jazz Aid show for the Sue Ryder Charity and had good reviews.

We have performed in the Cheltenham Jazz festival fringe, at the Mayor’s Ball, and as the part of the Jazz Aid show. Janie has performed at the PIZZA ON THE PARK London, and the Café Royal, London. She and the band have recently performed at the Daffodil restaurant in Cheltenham and the AV8 restaurant in Kemble. Janie has performed on board the cruise ship SS Norway, in the USA and in Europe.

 Blue Flamingo is a new and unique combination of cello and harp.  Suzie Walden and Catherine White are two highly qualified professionals who have recently come together to create this exciting, fresh, and extremely
beautiful sound.  Both have extensive experience in creating a very special atmosphere, performing for functions in top London hotels, royal palaces and National Trust properties, as well as corporate and informal venues. Suzie is also founder of the Celebration String Quartet and Duos, while Catherine enjoyed a ten-year residency at London’s five-star Meridien Piccadilly Hotel, and has often played for British and foreign Royalty.  Both have additionally often performed with leading symphony orchestras.

We offer a wide-ranging repertoire from popular classics to the best of modern songs. Suzie favours the electric cello which blends perfectly with the harp and has proved very popular for small and large gatherings.
