Daylesford Organic: The Farm Shop That Became a Destination
The farm at Daylesford has grown into a destination for organic food and polished country living. Vegetables come from the market garden, bread and pastries from the bakery, cheeses from the on-site creamery, while restaurants and cafés make it perfectly possible to turn shopping into lunch and lunch into most of the afternoon.
It is exceptionally well done. It is also not the place for a bargain. Go knowing that restraint may abandon you somewhere between the cheese counter and the homewares.
