1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions apply to all guests staying at, dining at, or otherwise using the services of Dumbleton Hall ("the Hotel", "we", "us", "our").
By making a booking, entering the Hotel, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Room Bookings
2.1 Room Guarantee & Payment
- Telephone bookings must be secured with a valid credit or debit card at the time of reservation.
- Flexible rates require a valid debit or credit card to guarantee the reservation.
- Where payment is required at the time of booking, the applicable amount will be charged to the debit or credit card provided in accordance with the selected rate or package conditions.
- All outstanding charges must be settled on departure.
- The Hotel accepts payment by major debit and credit cards with the exception of American Express. Cash payments are not accepted.
- On arrival, guests will be requested to present the credit card intended for payment. The card may be pre-authorised for the anticipated total accommodation cost.
2.2 Children
- Children of all ages are warmly welcomed at Dumbleton Hall.
- Where the room category permits and additional bedding can be accommodated, children may stay in their parents' room, subject to the maximum occupancy of the room.
- Additional charges for children's accommodation, meals or extra beds may apply depending on the room type, rate or package selected and will be confirmed during the booking process.
- Cots for infants may be available upon request, subject to availability.
- Please note that availability of cots and additional bedding is limited and subject to room type, maximum occupancy and prior arrangement.
3. Room Cancellations & Amendments
Cancellation, amendment and payment terms vary depending on the rate or package selected at the time of booking.
- Flexible rates may be cancelled or amended in accordance with the cancellation policy confirmed during the booking process and detailed within your booking confirmation.
- Advance Purchase and other prepaid promotional rates are generally non-refundable and non-transferable unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
- The applicable cancellation, amendment and payment terms will always be displayed before your booking is confirmed and will form part of your reservation contract.
4. Restaurant Bookings
4.1 Children
Children are welcome to dine throughout the Hotel, including in the main restaurant. We kindly ask all guests to be mindful of others' comfort; should behaviour become disruptive, our team may suggest an alternative setting to ensure all guests can dine enjoyably.
4.2 Allergies
Every reasonable care is taken to avoid cross-contamination of allergens during food preparation. However:
- Our kitchen handles allergenic ingredients.
- We do not operate allergen-free zones or dedicated fryers.
- The Hotel is not a nut-free establishment.
- Guests with allergies or dietary requirements are kindly asked to inform the team as far in advance as possible.
4.3 Cancellations
Restaurant reservations may be cancelled without charge. We kindly request as much advance notice as possible to allow availability for other diners.
5. Pets & Assistance Dogs
5.1 General Dog Policy
- Well-behaved dogs over one year of age are welcome at Dumbleton Hall by prior arrangement. One dog per room is standard; a second may be accommodated by prior arrangement, subject to room category, size, and availability.
- Dogs over 30kg cannot be accommodated. The Hotel further reserves the right, at its discretion, to decline to accommodate or curtail a stay where a dog's size, behaviour or temperament is considered incompatible with the comfort, safety or enjoyment of other guests or the hotel environment.
- Dogs are permitted only in designated rooms and are welcome in selected lounge areas at the Hotel's discretion. Dogs are not permitted in the main restaurant.
- Dogs must be kept on a lead in public areas and under close control at all times, including around hotel guests, and to prevent worrying livestock or disturbing wildlife on the estate.
- A charge of £40 per dog, per night applies and includes a dog bed, bowl, towel and welcome treat.
- The Hotel reserves the right to withdraw pet accommodation where operational, safety or welfare concerns arise.
5.2 Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Hotel in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.
6. Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in any Hotel building.
Guests found smoking in bedrooms or indoor areas may be charged a cleaning surcharge and any additional costs incurred as a result.
7. Mobile Phones
Guests are respectfully requested to be mindful while using mobile phones when dining in the restaurant.
8. Guest Behaviour & Property Damage
- Guests are responsible for any damage caused to Hotel property during their stay.
- The Hotel reserves the right to charge for repair or replacement where necessary.
- The Hotel may refuse service or terminate a stay where guest behaviour is unlawful, disruptive, abusive or poses a risk to staff or other guests.
9. Personal Property
The Hotel accepts no liability for loss of or damage to guests' personal property unless caused by the negligence of the Hotel or its staff.
Guests are encouraged to take appropriate precautions to safeguard valuables.
10. CCTV
CCTV operates in public areas of the Hotel for the purposes of safety, security and crime prevention.
Recordings are:
- Stored securely.
- Retained for a limited period.
- Accessed only by authorised personnel.
Footage may be shared with law enforcement authorities where legally required. CCTV processing is carried out in accordance with data protection legislation. Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
11. Photography & Filming
- All photography or filming must be pre-authorised by Hotel management.
- No photography or filming may take place without an assigned Hotel representative.
- Staff, uniforms or roles must not be impersonated.
- Use of the Hotel's name, images, trademarks or branding requires prior written consent.
- Unauthorised use may result in legal action.
12. Data Protection & Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

13. Force Majeure
The Hotel shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including (but not limited to) acts of God, fire, flood, industrial action, pandemics, government restrictions or failure of utilities.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
15. Amendments
The Hotel reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. The most current version will be available on our website.
